i cant use Field[i] to access the data why?

hi,people:
i am new user of cpp builder and i wonder why i cant use as Field[0]
Field[1] to access
a table data?
the code just as :
AnsiString S=DMod1->Table1->Fields[0]->AsString;
the compiler says
:[C++ Error] Main.cpp(31): E2288 Pointer to structure required on left side
of -> or ->*.
how should i use Fields[i].
thanks.
ps:who could tell me if there is a IRC server for c++ builder?
