Hi Mischa, I'm using BCB4, so I don't know what the demo and the XMLBroker is all about. If you search for a general XML parser, you could try the Xerces parser from Apache (http://xml.apache.org) or xml4c from IBM (http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/xml4c), which is basically the same source from Apache with more unicode encoding support. It was not very easy to get it up and running because the Win32 project files (yes, you have to build it from source), are for VC++, and the API documentation could really be enhanced. But it's free, and I think it was worth the time. best regards, Dirk Mischa Simmonds wrote: > > I have C++Builder 5 Enterprise and I have run the demo using Midas and > XML etc. > > What I am looking for is a tool that will convert an incoming XML > request into its data elements without having anything to do with MIDAS. > This converted XML will then allow me to retrieve data from a legacy > host via an appropriate terminal emulation. > > I have had a look at XMLBroker and was wondering if that would do the > job, without having to use the data provider, or are there more > appropriate tools out ther (that are not written in Java). > > Has anyone got any ideas? > > -- > Mischa Simmonds e-mail: mischa@informationdesign.com.au > Information Design Pty Ltd voice : +61-2-9552-2066 > 1/2 Darghan Street fax : +61-2-9552-2434 > GLEBE NSW 2037 AUSTRALIA -- _________________________________________________ Dirk Schwammkrug Computer Scientist R & D Chemspeed Ltd, CH-Augst, http:\\www.chemspeed.com Phone: (+41)61-8169-640 Fax: [..]-509
