I have a server that I ported by creating new RDM's in BCB5, and then copying and pasting the components from the BCB4 server code. The BCB4 client code I just reused (changing the provider GUID's, of course). There is one dataset that is a nested dataset of a nested dataset. This particular dataset, when I try to open it, throws an AV in TClientDataSet.InternalOpen, at the line where it does Check( DSCursor.LinkCursors...). I have tried various things, such as compiling with and without CodeGuard, and deleting and recreating the query in the server code, all to no avail. This code works in BCB4. I made a test project to check if a nested dataset of a nested dataset is problematic in itself, but the test project works. Also, whenever I try to drop down the list in the ServerName property of a TSocketConnection, I get the error "Class not registered," and the list closes. Steve Pietrykoski
