Hi ,


I am using TClientDataSets in place of cached updates but ...

I've got a almost 10 (sometimes even more) seconds delay between
the call of TClientDataSet.ApplyUpdates and the TProvider.BeforeUpdateRecord

what is going on between these two calls  ? is there a way to speed the
things up
or am I missing something here.

basically what I got is :

a read-only datagrid <--> datasource <--> ClientDataSet <--> TProvider <-->
TQuery.


The query is made against multiple tables. So in the
Provider.BeforeUpdateRecord
I perform updates against multiple tables.

everything works well but that delay is unacceptable.

I even tried to call directly TProvider.ApplyUpdates but there was no real
speed improvement.
