I make a copy of a Query into a TClientDataSet.  The Query is:

SELECT DISTINCT NAME, BITS FROM SYNOPTAGS

When I try to edit the data in the TClientDataSet, there is always an
exception:

THE TABLE IS NOT IN EDIT MODE

I use the Edit method and FieldValues property of the TClientDataSet to
edit.

When I saw the CanModify property of the TClientDataSet it is FALSE, in
fact this property changes when I make the copy from the Query.

What can I do to avoid the TClientDataSet gets the Query CanModify
property value?
