We are currently using BCB3 and would like to change to BCB4. We develop a multi-tier DB Application using TMidasConnection with ctSockets. In BCB4 we replaced that with TSocketConnection. But there is one major problem. On the client side the TSocketConnection(s) are established within a thread and the pointer is passed by "Synchronize" to the MainThread. In BCB3 that worked fine. But in BCB4 it does'nt. When calling a AppServer Function e.g. dbCon->AppServer.Exec( Function( "StartTransaction")); (where dbCon is TSocketConnection*) within a different than the "creation" thread the appropriate thread "hangs". Any suggestions. Stefan srosehr@edvs.de
