My application has to check the connectivity from the host PC to several =
Oracle
instances on various machines.
I plan to use TDatabase object for the job.

What I am wondering is: since we don't know the database information =
during
application installation, I will have to configure the BDE during =
runtime. i.e.,
enter alias name and others.

Can some one advise me on the technique?
My guess is that BDE config file is kept in a text file. Or, is it in a =
registry?

Thank you so much!

/yunki
