Heyo! I have read that the MSSQL native driver, as supplied with BCB 4 can be used with both MSSQL Server 6.5 and 7.0 databases. We have the same database running under both versions. My application runs well with the 6.5 version, but bombs when attempting to connect to the 7.0 version of the DBMS. In fact, I get an error message stating that the server can't be found or does not exist. Has anyone out there attempted this, and were you successful? At this point I don't know if something isn't set up correctly or if the driver is at fault. This is a 3 tier application, and I have had limited success running the app. using the MS SQL ODBC driver against the 7.0 version of MS SQL Server, but I'm afraid that things will be slower than tolerable with ODBC. Thanks, John
