I have builded a application which is based on the client/server. the operation System is Windows NT & Windows 95. the developing platform is C++ Builder 4, Enterprise version. But I had met some trouble. I had Setted a database which based on interbase on the remote database server and setted it's alias name as "Inter1", after that, I developed a app server and a client application. when all the programs run in the same machine, It is well, but when I run the client application in another machine and choosed the connecting way as DCOM, While I opened a table, an error occured and show me with the message "unknown user name or password, unavailable database, Alias: Inter1". I can't get the answer why it was happened. the BDE engine is installed on the machine which the app server was run. When all the programs run on this machine, they worked well. I had tested the connection of DCOM, It was good as well. But when I run the app server and client app on different machines that was connected by DCOM, the error I refered above would occured. I look forward for your kindly help. a user of your products. Tel:(0086756)2115760 Fax:00867562117757
