Howdy
I am using UDP/IP as a simple means of getting messages from A to B.
Why is the LocalPort property only settable at design time? (and the
RemotePort settable at run time?)
Does this mean I can have only one process running using UDP/IP on a single
machine? Running two processes would require 2 separately compiled
applications with different local port numbers!?
Also, the Using C++ Builder help file defines the SendBuffer method of the
TNMUDP component as:
procedure SendBuffer(Buff: Array of char; length: integer);
Yet, I have to use the following C++ syntax to compile the function call
correctly:
UDP->SendBuffer( char *, int, int );
I understand that components are written in Pascal - that's about all I know
of components. Why on earth does the help show me Pascal syntax and not C++
syntax for the UDP component class?
Thanks for responding (maybe?)
Len
