Thisis a problem I cannot figure out. Home setup: - Windows 98 - Interbase 5.0 Server - Personal Web Server - ODBC Source (System DSN) = "mydsn" - Connection string in my ASP code: Conn.Open "mydsn","myuserid","mypassword" That works fine. My office setup: - Windows NT 4 w/ Service Pack 3 - Interbase 5.0 Server - IIS 4 - ODBC Source (System DSN) = "mydsn" - Connection string in my ASP code: Conn.Open "mydsn","myuserid","mypassword" That does NOT work. I keep getting the error: "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005' [Visigenic][ODBC InterBase 4.x Driver][InterBase]unavailable database" Ladies and gentlemen I have tried over 50 different combinations of DSN types (user, and system), and connect strings in my ASP code. Nothing works. The only difference I see is the operating system and the Web server, though I strongly suspect the Web server is the key here. I would think that my work setup is a very common setup for many people here. Has anyone experienced this problem before? Can anyone help? Is it something I am doing/not doing, or did Microsoft deliberately design the ODBC layer to NOT work with other databases besides SQL Server? ANy help would be appreciate, thanks.
