TBookmarklist:::Item[i] will return "AnsiString Bookmark", >however TDataSet::GotoBookmark will only take "void *" as an argument. There are 2 types of Bookmarks. TBookmark which is a pointer and TBookmarkStr which is a long string (AnsiString). Use DataSet1->Bookmark = Bookmark; to use the AnsiString version. GotoBookmark, FreeBookmark and GetBookmark are used for the pointer version. The pointer version was introduced in Delphi1 before long strings (AnsiString) which was introduced in Delphi 2.
