This is what I get when my client attempts to open a remote DataSet
object on my application server.
Connection is performed through a socket object in the client's data
module.

I wanted to make some changes to the app. server business logic, so I
changed the socket's host property to point to my local machine.  That's
when this exception started showing up.  The point in the client app.
where this occurs is an attempt to open a dataset object in the app.
server's remote data module by setting the corresponding client dataset
object's "Active" property to true.

I reset the host property to point to my test file server PC running NT
Server 4x and copied the app. server's revised executable to that
machine.  The client has no problem starting it up and all functions
operate normally.

The obvious assumption is that there is something amiss in my local PC
which is running Win 2000.  No one here is familiar enough with Win 2000
to know what this exception means beyond the guess that "RPC" translates
to "Remote Procedure Call".  Hopefully someone out there can help.
