I had the same problem.  The "RPC" ( remote procedure call ) server referred to
in the error message is either the remote data module itself or a COM component
on it, or so I'm told by a colleague who is more knowledgeable about COM than
I.  I don't know what the cause is, but the only way I have found to correct
the problem was to rebuild the app. server.  Before you do that, however, check
all properties of all components on your RDM to make sure you haven't lost
any.  Sometimes property values disappear as if by magic.

I posted the same query on this forum a couple of months ago and got no
response, so I guess this is not a common problem with BCB.
