Hi,

I get the following whenever I try to send an empty string parameter to a
stored procedure using TClientDataSet and TSocketConnection (with the help
of Borland SocketServer) :

  ClientDataSet1->FetchParams();
  ClientDataSet1->Params->ParamByName("@aDescription")->AsString =
frmSearch->edtDescription->Text;
  ClientDataSet1->Execute();

When the Execute() is called the following exception is raised on the client
application EOleException with message "Parameter object is improperly
defined.  Inconsistent or incomplete information was provided".

All works fine as long as no empty parameters are sent.  Any idea for a
possible solution?

This is obviously occuring on the application server side
(TDataSetProvider). Why?
