Hi all, I am developing a multi-tier application, using MIDAS techology. Before we started developing, we investigated MIDAS technology. We found that if we share the same connection, i.e. a DCOM connection, for example, we save precious time, because a signifiant amount of time is spent on opening the connection. So, we use the same connection, which is shared by several CDSs. The big problem, is that the CDS are located in threads (but the DCOM connection is located outside the threads), and I get a 'Object is not connected to server' when I try to reuse the DCOM connection. If I use a DCOM connection inside each thread, it is ok, but this means to lose the gain, of sharing the connection. Also, I used this method, in other app, without threads, and all is fine. Best regards, Florin C.
