Hi, Petterson!

One possibility would be to use the VCL streaming system. This would 
mean that you would want each persistable / recoverable object to be a 
component. You could then get the component from a blob in the database, 
and stream the blob content using the component streaming system to 
create it. After changes were made, you could stream the result back 
into the database.
