 Hi,
 I am using Delphi Ent 5.0 with update pack 1,  BDE 5.11 and Interbase 5.5.
 I use Tquery, TUpdateQuery, TDatasetProvider and TClientDataset,
 one of the fields is of kind ftMemo and inside Interbase is declared as
 varchar(9000).
 Now here is the problem, when I update any of the other fields except the
 memo one after applying updates and
 refreshing the TMemo  field looses contents. But this happens only when I
scroll to the dataset or reopen it and re-modify.
 The first time I run the program and update the dataset all works fine.
 Any idea why?
