🚀 go-pugleaf

We've got a BIG application server (50 remote datamodules, LOTS of methods
per datamodule) that was developed using BCB3 C/S.  We desperately need to
upgrade to BCB4 Enterprise (or maybe 5, but I haven't heard many good
things), but how should I go about migrating all of the code?  I've actually
gotten the v3 code to compile using BCB4 (I had to make some minor syntax
changes for some things -- most of those were noted in the docs), but it
won't run.  When my client app (also rebuilt under 4) makes its first Midas
connection call, I get some sort of COM/DCOM error.

I've create identical apps from scratch using both 3 and 4 -- then compared
the code.  There are definitely some differences.  Could these differences
(in the auto-generated code) be the reason why my v3 app compiled under v4
won't run?

What are my options?  It would take FOREVER to start with an empty app and
re-create this app server from scratch (even if I did cut/paste the code
from the methods in the old code).  Has anyone been down this road before?
I posted about this a year ago, and never got any response (other than "try
posting in the xxxx newsgroup").  I'm attending BorCon in a couple of
weeks -- I hope to be able to corner some gurus during it and get some
answers on this.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!
