hi, I am writing a very simple test appplication that does uses Oracle 8i direct access extensions in BCB 5.0. The proC/C++ extensions supplied by Oracle to be exact. In the last few days I have read an awful lot about translating dll's for MSVC to BCB and using PROC/C++ in general. Most of which is several years old. I am hoping that someone can point me the right direction. So far I have down this: I have taken the Oracle supplied lib file for MSVC and run impdef on it. Using the def file generated i created a lib file for BCB. A few notes the oracle supplied a DLL/lib file . They use _cdecl. I added the lib file to the test project(by just using add file) The test project contains a simple PROC/C++ file (select * from table), though after the precompiler has finished with it, it isn't simple. The file is kept as near i can manage to a vanilla C file as possible. The single function is wrapped by another CPP file which is in turn called by the main window. I always end up with the following error : [Linker Error] Unresolved external '_sqlcxt(void * *, unsigned long *, sqlexd *, const sqlcxp *)' referenced from C: \NEWPROJECTS\CPLUSPLUS\TEST PROC\SELECTTEST.OBJ or [Linker Error] Unresolved external 'sqlcxt(void * *, unsigned long *, sqlexd *, const sqlcxp *)' referenced from C: \NEWPROJECTS\CPLUSPLUS\TEST PROC\SELECTTEST.OBJ I have reached a stage of paranoia were i am looking at all manner of solutions. eg addding _ to the begining of the function calls. I would be extremely grateful if someone could point me a fresh direction. Currently I am looking to use MSVC to write a wrrapper for th ORACLE dll using __stdcall only for exports. thanks.
