I'm using a TQuery component and I need to retrieve a text column, I'm
doing:

query->SQL->Add(select text_col from table where id = #); as well as
using a readtext stmt. both methods I get nothing back, whereas I can
retrieve the
data using readtext in isql.

So, how would I do this. also, where can I find a decent borland db book or
reference?
