Hi, Nick! Essentially, the TTable or TQuery classes form the relational layer. The TDataModule can form the "entity" or logical layer. Or you can wrap the data module in another class that surfaces a more constrained interface. But creating a separate set of classes mapping one to one to the RDB is the sort of thing you do in VC++ where you don't have any nice database classes. Why reinvent the wheel in BCB, right? ------ Mark Cashman (TeamB - C++ Builder), creator of The Temporal Doorway at http://www.temporaldoorway.com - Original digital art, writing, music and more - C++ Builder / JBuilder Tips and The C++ Builder Programmer's Webring (Join us!) http://www.temporaldoorway.com/programming/index.htm ------
