Hello All, We currently have a two tier application that makes extensive use of stored procedures to perform many complex calculations. We are moving to a multi-tier architecture using Midas. In order to support other databases (other than Firebird), we are going to move all of these stored procedures from the database into the middle tier. So we might currently have a procedure that returns 5 fields and we are now doing a 'SELECT * FROM PROCEDURENAME(param1, param2, etc.)' to maybe fill a grid or populate a report. This procedure may return the 5 fields but might also have many temporary variables that are used to store calculations and may include looping select statements, calls to other procedures etc. Are there components available in C++ Builder (or from a third party) that would allow us to rewrite all of this Stored Procedure code in C++ code as a function or something in the middle layer? That we could then call by the client layer to display the data in a grid or drop down list or whatever? Our database includes close to 600 fairly complicated stored procedures that will need to be recoded into the middle layer and we are having a difficult time finding an effective way to accomplish this. Thanks in advance, Todd Brasseur COMPASS Municipal Services Inc.
