socket connection hungs up

Hi: I build a multi-tier application that use TSocketConnection components. I have some problems when i open a clientdataset. when i open the clientdataset and every is fine, i close it, then i open it again and when i close it the program hungs up. can anyone get with a problem like this? how can i fix it? or how can i debug it?

You say that you are Open()/Close() the DataSet, do you Close() the TSocketConnection? The Socket may be opening automatically when you Open() the DataSet, but not Closing automatically. Jeff. yes, the connection open automatically, but when i close the socket connection then in sometimes the application hungs. if i use dcom connection then there is no problem. for me this problem is a mistery!! did you know problems using socket connection with midas? is better to use a dcom connection than socket? I was just "thinking out loud" what I would check in same situation. What little I have done with MIDAS has been with sockets. (DCOM is too M$ for me :D )
