Here is what I am trying to accomplish. I have two database tables (Customers and Product) and I have gone thru all the motions in the 'sample' turorials regarding the Master/Detail table relationship and utilizing Remote Data Providers and creating thin clients and all that, got everything working great utilizing tables, however I need to do this using SQL, here's why: Originally, my database was a stand-alone SQL query based application, now I am trying to convert it over to a multi-tiered system. Anyway, I am trying to send a query down the wire, such as a search for all records containing a certain first name. What I end up getting as a result is every record in the customer database, not the ones which match the param value (first name) passed to the server. I have the remote TQuery SQL statement checked out ok...It is almost as though the SQL query is being ignored and it is just returning the whole database....Any suggestions? Thx. in adv.
