SOAP with OpenSSL on IIS 5

Hello,

I have a client application that connects to an MS-SQL Server database over
the Internet. 'Force Protocol Encryption' is ticked under the 'Server
Network Utility' for MS-SQL, and a self-generated OpenSSL certificate is
installed on the server. The client app uses a TADOConnection and numerous
TADOQueries.

I am now experimenting with converting this application to a 3-tier
architecture using SOAP. The client application now uses a TSoapConnection
with a number of TClientDatasets. All works well when TClientDataset->URL
uses HTTP. However, when I try to use HTTPS for the URL of the
TSoapConnection I get the following error:

---------------------------
Debugger Exception Notification
---------------------------
Project SoapClient.exe raised exception class Exception with message 'The
certificate authority is invalid or incorrect -
URL:https://123.123.123.123/cgi-bin/SoapServer42.exe/soap/ISoapDataMod42 -
SOAPAction:http://www.borland.com/namespaces/Types-IAppServerSOAP'. Process
stopped. Use Step or Run to continue.

OK Help

I know that this is because the certificate is not trusted. Is there any way
around this? Can I ignore the fact that the certificate is not trusted and
use it anyway?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Syd.
