Why am I getting these warnings?

I am having a terrible time trying to Deploy a large project.

The project is running with no warnings and no errors reported.
I modified Options to compile with no run time libs and recompiled. No
warings or errors were reported.

I then changed the compiler options from "FullDebug" to "Realease".
now when I rebuild the project I get hundreds of warnings
" 'SomeVariable' is assigned a value that is never used ".
Upon inspection the variables are all used iether as an Index or function
parameter .
Does anyone have any idea of whats going on here?

Thanks in advance

Hi Ralph,

If you have;

...
int myvar = 1;
myvar = 2;
...

or

int myvar = 0;
myvar = somefunction();

You've got a warning message because you're assigning a value
to myvar that it's never used.

You can turn warnings off under the compiler section of Project Options.
Whenever you have a routine with a TObject *Sender parameter in its
declaration, like most VCL event handlers do, and you never refer to Sender in
the routine, you'll get a warning about an unused parameter. The same goes for
locally-declared variables which you forget to use. They are nothing to worry
about (although you could tidy up the locally-declared variables bit). Unused
parameters to event handlers are a common occurrence.
