hi gordon,

are you serious..? you want to protect your software
with a generated key..?

well, let's say it like that, after a key-protected
software has been distributed you can find for it after **few**
hours serialnumbers and key-generator tools on the net..so that want
be very effective..

another kind of protection are for example functionally-limitations
of the software..one of my favorite one is for example to make a
programm only runable if it's installed on a cd, so than you can
distribute ONLY this cd..

as far as i know cd's have unique factory/manufactory -serial
that can't be reproduced (similar to a MAC-number of the networkcard..)

maybe you could choose this solution..

are you serious? LOL
O_O
it's even worse than protecting with serials...etc...

have you ever heard about virtual cd programs? what they do is just
completely copy the raw image of your cd to a file, then a guy using that
program gets additinial drive when he opens "My Computer" lol... and he
doesn't need your CD anymore.
It's worse because there is no need to generate keys, patches, etc.. to make
your commercial program work, they would just copy the CD's image. and
distribute it on the net.

Cheers.
