Thanks, one and all,

The problem has been solved. It was just something in the code.

My customer's problems ranged from opening with a window that was off the
screen to not running at all exept for a system error report.

The changes I made were in FormShow and in a Timer. The timer was enabled
at startup with 200 ms and immediatly disabled itself. FormShow
automatically opened and read a bitmap file and a text file. I changed it so
that the automatic file opening was suppressed (unless the user checked a
menu option for future use). I also did not enable the timer until the end
of ShowForm was reached. ShowForm figured out the bounds of the form based
on reading a .ini file (shich ShowForm always does) and the Taskbar
settings. The SetBounds call was not made until inside the timer function.
Before and after the changes the application ran fine on my computers. But,
after these changes, my customer in Ireland reported that it opened with its
window off his screen. He commented out some of the code in FormShow and
then it opened for him with a small window (Probably the one I used at
design time) and all was well thereafter.

I apologize for the scrappy initial posting but I had not used this facility
for years and did know whether or not it would post. I was suprised to see
that my daughter, Lynne's contact info. was attached instead of my own.

It is really good to know that Team B and the rest of you are looking at
these postings.

This application was written with Borland C++ Builder 4.0 on a Windows 2003
small business server operating system.

Thanks again,

Brian Daniels
