Hi!

I have tried to install an application, with C++ Borland 5 and
InstallShield, in a machine with Windows XP, in Spanish. And I obtain an
error"...without resources for Win16..." or something like that.

Can somebody help me?

Thank you.
Guillermo.

Microsoft's SP2 has a known issue where it deletes autoexec.nt which
prevents the 16-bit subsystem from staring. I haven't had this happen
to my machine but one InstallShield setup wrapped in a exe builder
failed to run on a customers machine. Seems part of the installer uses
16-bit code for maximum portability (win3.1 and up)

Check out Microsoft KB324767. I just copied a fresh autoexec.nt from
c:\windws\repair and it worked again. Might be your issue.

Oh, and check out 7zip at sourceforge.net for a neat little "exe
builder". Make your setup files then just zip them with the automaticly
run function or (SFX Builder recommended by PowerArchiver).

Cheers,
Kevin
(Happy with BCB5, waiting for an upgrade path though)
