Is anybody can tell what will happened if application compiled under BCB6 will
run on computer with borlndmm.dll from BCB5 ?

Thanks in advance.

Oleg.

P.S. Look's like it's running fine, but in perspective, can it be the reason for
sudden crash ?

Don't know the answer, but if your app requires the dll you should be
distributing it, so the issue should not arise, don't you think?

There is no difference between borlndmm.dll between BCB5 and BCB6.

Usually, all the .dll files between the different BCB versions has different
postfixes ( like vlcide60, tlib60, etc. or version 6 )

Specifically, the Borlndmm.dll wasn't changed from ver 5 to 6, and this
is the reason it has no specific version postfix.

Generally, beware of using dll files from different versions, this can cause
anomaly behaviors, which are really hard to track
