Hi,
I've got a reasonably simple Form program. It's File->Exit menu item
runs
void __fastcall TForm1::FileExitExecute(TObject *Sender)
{
exit(0);
}
and I get the following error
---------------------------
Debugger Exception Notification
---------------------------
Project myproject.exe raised exception class EInvalidPointer
with message 'Invalid pointer operation'. Process stopped.
Use Step or Run to continue.
---------------------------
OK Help
---------------------------
The debugger reports that the error is in Forms.hpp (apparently) at the
TForm destructor line;
class PASCALIMPLEMENTATION TForm : public TCustomForm
{
typedef TCustomForm inherited;
public:
.
.
.
__published:
.
.
.
public:
.
.
#pragma option pop
#pragma option push -w-inl
/* TCustomForm.Destroy */ inline __fastcall virtual ~TForm(void) { }
};
I doubt this is the real problem. Any suggestions on where to look?

Just close the main form to exit the program:
void __fastcall TForm1::FileExitExecute(TObject *Sender)
{
Close();
}
Also note that your question relates to the use of VCL components so would be
better asked in .vcl.components.using. For newsgroup descriptions and

Hi ,
I've got the same problem some time ago. Reading the documentation I founf
the following
simple way to terminate any VCL program:
Application->Terminate();
The Application object is global to any program.
Just give it a try.
