Hi,

I have a problem of porting Cbuilder5/6 application (under Windows XP) for Japanese language.

I have already ported the same app to Chinese language and so far I haven't notice any problem. When I replace ChineseTranslation text file (from where I load appropriate strings, which are typed and saved using Chinese PRC code page) with Japanese one (using Japanese code page) I don't have Japanese characters mostly, but somewhere I have it. After a little bit of research it came that

TListBox, TButton and TStatic controls display text properly

TPanel, TMemo, TEdit, TLabel, TSpeedButton, TBitBtn controls doesn't display chars properly (display is array of single byte chars instead of proper double-byte chars using Japanese code page)


I have setup the appropriate language in Regional & Language Settings, in that list box which refers how windows will handle non-Unicode chars (Chinese PRC, Japanese)

Can anyone give me advice please how to solve that problem within CBuilder enviroment if possible (not using third party components)?
