True and it works for me for quite some time already but I was thinking of 
improving it now to make it even better with most of my customers using XP 
anyway.
If the VCL controls would manage a unicode string instead of a MBCS and if 
they would pass on the unicode to the Windows controls (instead of 
converting first) things would work better (I think).  Now, there is still a 
Windows installation dependency when you want to see foreign (non latin) 
characters (e.g. file-names etc.).

Any idea if this will improve in the new version of Builder that is 
announced ?
