multi-lingual strings in VCL components?

Hello!

I want to use 'international multi-lingual' strings in VCL components,
but components like TLabel and TEdit contain char* arrays...  How can I
insert multi-lingual strings (unicode strings of type wchar_t or
AnsiString) into components such as these?  (I would like to use other
languages' character sets, e.g. Chinese, etc..)
