First of all, try doing something simpler, like LoadStringA with this
DLL handle. After that, call FindResource with string identifiers
instead of integer, e.g. FindResource(DllHandle,  RT_STRING,
"MYSTRING1"). In the end, make sure that the variable
MAKEINTRESOURCE(block) is computed correctly.
