How does one get the current locale on application startup?

And how does one insert a string table into externalized resources?

Thanks

Thanks Igor-
I'll give that a try..
Any Ideas about the string table question?
Is this a manual process? I saw no tools to help in the process..

Actually, I didn't understand your question about string table. :( It would
help a lot if you describe a bit detailed.

If you mean, how do I put strings in a dll ?

Make *.rc files and make them part of a dll project.

Put this in there :

STRINGTABLE
{
1,  "text 1"
2,  "text 2
// etc ...
}

Use the value per string later on to get the string from the resource.
