Don't know. But you could catch the AV and neglect it.

   try
     {
      AThread->Connection->Disconnect();
     }
   catch ( Exception &Exception )
     {
     // do nothing
     }

(You know to run this outside the IDE? Otrherwise you will still
see the exception).
