Hi all, I have a blocking TClientSocket inside a thread. It connects to a server and reads data from it. I need to read small and/or large amount of data. Basically it is working quite well, but sometimes I have strange disconnections. My questions are: The help (BCB5) states to set the Count parameter of TWinSocketStream::Read "fairly low, and make several calls to Read, rather than fewer calls with a large value of Count". That's what I did, but how to interpret that "fairly low"? 1? 10? 100? 1000? Could a too low value of Count result in an overflow of the TCP/IP stack so that there are some packets not acknowledge and the connection is then brutally reset (although I sniffered the traffic and my TCP window is always greater than 64000)? Thanks for any clue. Stefano.
