There is nothing in TIdHTTP's constructor that should be throwing AVs during
its instantiation, regardless of whether runtime packages are used or not.
Can you provide anymore details about the problem?  Can you trace into the
code at all?

Yes.  It doesn't crash for me.  And noone else has reported such crashing,
either.

You should not be trying to migrate old projects.  Borland's migration
support has never worked properly in any version of the IDE.  Always
re-create projects from scratch and add existing source files to the new
project.  Have you done that yet?
