BCB6 ships with Indy 8.0, which is a very old version that is no longer
supported.  Indy 9 has many features and bug fixes over Indy 8, and Indy 10

It wasn't supposed to be.  CheckForDisconnect() doesn't actually disconnect
the client.  It only checks if the socket has been disconnected by the other
party and throws an exception if so.  You still need to call Disconnect() to
release the socket resources.
