I've only had a few minutes to play with this, and now I have to go off to
meetings all day.

The server thread still returns zero on the read:

                int iRead = Stream->Read(pBuf, BufSize);
                if( iRead <= 0 )
                    return false;

And the client display the following in the memo.  There's no write event,
so perhaps I haven't initialised something and the
TForm2::ClientSocket1Connect + TForm1::Write are causing a write before its
ready.

Connect Event Handler
..Port Active
Client Error: 10054
Disconnect Event Handler
..Port not Active
