TIdNNTP connects using connect function and returns GreetingResult 0 (Permission to post). The GetNewNewsList function throws a protocol error Project2 raised exception class EIdProtocolError with message '502 NEWNEWS Permission Denied (command disabled). I can't be sure if the component is using a request command that the newsserver doesn't recognize, or some property of the component has disabled the function. The date argument looks odd, I was expecting something like an article ID instead, and get messages with article ID greater than AnInt or just get most recent AnInt messages. The Indy support faq covers a few protocols, but not NNTP. I could really use an overview on how it is supposed to be used, and or some example code. If you have any idea where I might look for such a thing please let me know cheers Warwick
