The error is self-explanatory.  The server has disabled the NEWNEWS command.
As such, you will not be able to use GetNewNewsList() at all.  Besides, most
servers have disabled that command anyway.  They use XOVER now instead.
NEWNEWS is obsolete, XOVER is more flexible.

That is exactly what is happening.  All EIdProtocolReplyError exceptions are
thrown due to server responses indicating errors on the server side.

There is no such property.

Article IDs are not guaranteed to work that way.  They are arbitrary values,
meaningful only to the server.  XOVER works the way you are describing,
though.  You provide it a range of Article numbers to retreive, based on the
response received when you first select a group.  When you download
articles, remember the last article number (not ID) that you downloaded.
Then later on, you can use XOVER to download all articles that were posted
after that last article was posted.
