At the time the client is run, the server address must be known or "knowable". Three ways: 1) The client user calls up the server user on the phone and asks for their current IPAddress and types it into a prompt on the client application. 2) The Server user publishes their current address in a central registry. The Client application then does a DNS lookup for the name of the server, and gets the IPAddress from there. (You know all those www.mydomain.com? well, your server could have one too. Then the clients could connect through a DNS lookup just like Explorer does..) 3) Both the server and the client call into a central server (GoToMyPc) and supply their current IP. The central server provides the final connection.
