You can use TClientSocket & TServerSocket for that.
There were many examples in this NG exactly how to send
data from one PC to other. Also search tamaracka.com
for the TClientSocket & TServerSocket.

I never used that but I can hardly imagine that exist
the regular component which exceptions cannot be
handled.

TClientSocket & TServerSocket can handle
exceptions quite well.

For start look at client types ctBlocking/ctNonBlocking
and server types stNonBlocking/stThreadBlocking, because
it is related to the sending techniques.
