Hey all,

I'm slimmed-down IRC client here, and I was wondering if there was a 
component out there that sends text only over a socket? I tried the 
TClientSocket, which seems to receive text, but I could only get to send 
binary. I also tried TTcpClient, which sends text fine, but for some reason, 
the OnReceive event won't trigger, so that's a definite no go.

Any ideas?
