In theory, my earlier code should have altready done that, since the headers
were not read from the socket yet, so TIdMappedPortTCP should have handled
that automatically the next time it checked both connections for pending
data.

Yeah, that I did miss.  I meant to strip off the host as well, not just the
protocol.
