Hi Gambit,

I downloaded INDY 9, made a couple of minor, necessary changes to my code and tested the application.  Unfortunately, there is still the problem of having slow listener responses to incoming connections.  I used a network sniffer and determined that the remote client is sending TCP SYN packets in the attempt to make a connection with the server.  It can take up to 50 seconds for the server to reply with the TCP SYN ACK.  In the mean time, the client keeps sending TCP SYN approx. every 800 ms.

I'm at a loss right now as to what I can change in the XP network settings or in code to test what may be cause this large response delay.

Again, this problem is on machines running Windows XP Professional.  We do not see this on NT4 or 2000.
