Yes, that's the problem.

The problem is when the PC in LAN is switched-off,
and I'm addressing it by the IP, the waiting period is too
long.

When the PC in LAN is switched-on but the ServerSocket
is not listening, the waiting time is not *so* long.

So I wanted to reduce the waiting time.

Can I somehow check (ping) if the PC in LAN is active at all,
so that I can know in advance not to try to connect at all.
